The Centre for Continuing and Adult Education (CCAE) under Vidyasagar University has been established to offer different certificate, diploma and degree courses for working professionals, students and others to widen their knowledge and skills and to make them eligible for the competitive job market. The learning domain includes courses for non-traditional students, non-degree career training, workforce training and formal personal enrichment courses. These courses aim to make education relevant to real-life situations and prevent the alienation of the educated from society.
All the Courses offered by CCAE are open to all, especially working personnel of Banks, Government, NGOs, Media Houses, Teachers and Students of different institutions.

CCAE reflects the university’s vision to provide quality education without geographical boundaries, enhancing diversity and building strategic partnerships. Reputed institutions/organizations are encouraged to run Diploma/Certificate courses at their centres after approval from CCAE, VU.

PG Evening Courses:
Regular 2 Years (4 Semesters) evening PG courses are offered under CCAE. Admissions are strictly on approved seats and on a “FIRST COME FIRST SERVE” basis. No marks bar. Classes are held Monday–Friday (4:00–8:00 PM) and Saturday (11:00 AM–8:00 PM). Candidates with a 3-year Honors degree in the concerned or allied subject are eligible.

Various Certificate and Diploma courses (1 week to 1 year) have been running since 2018. Departments of the university and external reputed organizations regularly offer outcome-based, job-oriented courses such as:
“Epidemiology and Public Health”, “Wildlife Management”, “Practical Librarianship”, “Apiculture and Mushroom Cultivation”, etc.
