Integrated M. Phil –Ph. D. Programme in Life Science

The Centre offers Integrated M.Phil./Ph.D. program in Life Sciences through entrance test. Further details are available in the University website

The Integrated M. Phil –Ph. D. Programme in Life Science was approved by the Executive Council of Vidyasagar University in 1st April, 2016. The programme was started in the month of August, 2016.

The students of all branches of Life Science are illegible for admission in this programme. The willing students are required to clear admission test as par UGC and university rules. There is a provision for lateral exit in this integrated programme. After successful completion of two years one can leave the programme with M. Phil degree only. Eminent faculty members of Vidyasagar University and other reputed universities are acting as resource person in this programme.

The students of this course have the opportunity for getting a fellowship, which is selected and funded by the Govt. of West Bengal.

Ph.D. Programme

The students of all branches of Life Science are illegible for admission in this programme. The willing students are required to clear admission test (RAC) as par UGC and university rules.

The students of this course have the opportunity for getting a fellowship from different agencies like Govt. of West Bengal, UGC, CSIR, DST, DBT etc.
