A three-week long Winter School Programme on "Gender Women and Society: Debates and Developments" was held during 5th -25th January, 2016. 51 resource persons from different Institutions across India came to deliver lectures and 29 candidates from different Universities and Colleges participated in the program.

Women's Studies Centre, Vidyasagar University organized 2nd WINTER SCHOOL Program from 5 -25 January, 2018. Our Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Professor Ranjan Chakrabarti inaugurated the Program. 29 participants from different Colleges participated in this 2nd Winter School Program. In this Program Prof. Damodar Mishra, Dean Faculty Council for Post Graduate Studies in Arts and Commerce, Vidyasagar University was the Chairperson and Professor Subrata Kumar De, Dean Faculty Council for Postgraduate Studies in Science was the Chief Guest. The Keynote speaker was Prof. Paula Banerjee Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Sanskrit College and University. Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Nilanjana Chatterjee, Associate Professor, Department of Geography and Environment Management, Vidyasagar University. In this program 37 resource persons delivered their valuable lectures.
